At GES/onPeak, creating a workplace where every employee feels seen, respected, and valued is more than a statement—it is a commitment. Today, we are proud to celebrate an important milestone in that journey.

After thoughtful discussions and collaboration, Jeff Quade, Julie Holland, and the GES Executive Team have approved the option for employees to include their pronouns on their company name badges.

This decision represents a significant win for the TRUE Colors Employee Resource Group (ERG), whose members have worked diligently over the past year to advocate for this change. Through conversations, education, and partnership, TRUE Colors helped bring visibility to why pronoun inclusion matters and how such a seemingly small option can have a meaningful impact on employees across GES, onPeak, and all GES collectives.

We are sincerely grateful to Jeff, Julie, and the Executive Team for taking the time to listen, learn, and truly understand the importance of this initiative to LGBTQIA+ employees and allies throughout our organization. Their willingness to engage in meaningful dialogue reflects the kind of leadership that helps foster belonging and inclusion for all.

For many people, pronouns are an important part of how they identify and how they wish to be recognized by others. Including pronouns on a name badge is a personal choice, but having the option available sends a powerful message: every employee deserves to be acknowledged and respected for who they are.

Research consistently shows that employees who feel accepted and able to be their authentic selves at work experience higher levels of engagement, job satisfaction, and overall well-being. Inclusive workplaces foster stronger collaboration, increased innovation, and a greater sense of connection among team members. When people feel they belong, they are empowered to contribute their best work.

The approval of pronouns on employee name badges is a meaningful example of GES not only talking about inclusion but actively demonstrating it. It is an authentic step forward that reinforces our commitment to creating a workplace culture where every individual feels welcomed, respected, and valued.

Employees who would like to include their pronouns on their name badges can work with their director or team leadership to begin the process of ordering updated name badges.

While this change may seem simple, its impact can be profound. It helps create opportunities for respectful introductions, reduces assumptions, and allows employees to share an important part of their identity if they choose to do so.

TRUE Colors is proud to have helped champion this initiative and deeply appreciative of the leaders and colleagues who supported it along the way. This achievement reflects what is possible when employees and leadership work together to create a workplace where everyone can thrive.

Today, we celebrate not only a new name badge option, but another step toward ensuring that every member of the GES family feels recognized, included, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work each day.
