The Team Behind Compass, AI, and Every Click in Between
Most people don’t think about technology until it stops working. Thankfully, that’s exactly what the Product & Technology team works to prevent. They’re the architects, builders, testers, and innovators behind many of the tools and technologies we rely on every day. While much of their work happens out of sight, their contributions help power the experiences our clients, attendees, exhibitors, hotel partners, and employees depend on every day.
So let’s meet this talented team:

Turning Ideas into Experiences
When someone books a hotel through onPeak, loads a contract, balances inventory, sends a rooming list, or interacts with one of our growing AI-powered tools, it’s a good bet that the Product & Technology team played a role in making that experience possible.
In fact, many of the tools our clients and internal teams rely on every day are built and maintained by onPeak’s Product & Technology team. Rather than relying on third-party platforms like some of our competitors do, onPeak continues to invest in and enhance Compass, creating solutions tailored specifically to the unique needs of event housing.
More Than Just Software
You might think that Product & Technology simply builds features. In reality, much of their work starts long before a single line of code is written.
The team gathers feedback from clients, attendees, exhibitors, hotel partners, and internal stakeholders. They analyze data, identify opportunities, prioritize enhancements, and evaluate which ideas will create the greatest impact.
Some projects focus on major innovations. Others involve small refinements that make everyday tasks faster, easier, or more intuitive. Regardless of size, every enhancement is designed with the end user in mind.
How Ideas Become Reality
Bringing a new feature or enhancement to life is a collaborative effort involving several specialized disciplines.
Product Management
Product Managers serve as the bridge between business goals, user needs, and technology. They identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, define requirements, and ensure every project aligns with onPeak’s broader strategy.
In many ways, they’re responsible for answering one important question: What should we build, and why?
User Experience & Design
Great technology isn’t just functional. It also needs to be intuitive and easy to use. Through research, feedback, testing, and collaboration, the team works to understand how people interact with onPeak’s products and create experiences that feel seamless and user-friendly.
Development
Once a solution is defined, developers bring it to life. They design, build, and maintain the applications that power onPeak’s technology ecosystem, turning concepts into working solutions while ensuring performance, reliability, security, and scalability along the way.
Quality Assurance (QA)
Before any new feature reaches users, it undergoes rigorous testing. QA specialists evaluate functionality, identify potential issues, and test countless scenarios to help ensure a smooth, reliable experience. If there’s a way to break something, they’ll usually find it first. And trust us, that’s a very good thing.
DevOps & Infrastructure
Behind every application is the infrastructure that keeps it running. The DevOps team manages cloud environments, system reliability, deployments, security, and performance, helping ensure onPeak’s technology remains available, scalable, and secure around the clock.
Innovation Never Stops
Unlike many projects that have a clear finish line, product development is an ongoing journey.
Technology, customer expectations, and business needs are constantly evolving. That means the team is continually gathering feedback, measuring results, enhancing existing tools, and exploring new capabilities.
Whether it’s improving the attendee booking experience, streamlining internal workflows, leveraging AI to support our work, or developing the next generation of Compass, Product & Technology is always looking for ways to make onPeak’s solutions smarter, faster, and more valuable.
The Takeaway
Behind every feature release, system enhancement, and technological innovation is a team of passionate problem-solvers committed to creating better experiences.
While much of their work happens behind the scenes, Product & Technology helps shape how clients, hotel partners, attendees, exhibitors, and onPeak employees interact with our technology every day.
So the next time Compass loads a report, an attendee completes a booking, or a new feature quietly makes your job a little easier, there’s a good chance the Product & Technology team helped make it happen.
