TSE Fastest 50 2019

Gather together with your assigned team, hop in a van and race around Atlantic City completing random tasks to win one of the grand prizes. From the original Atlantic City Convention Center to the Steel Pier, do you think you could cross the finish line? This year at Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50, onPeak sponsored the Amazing Race to put approximately 40 competitive trade show professionals to the test. Whether it was attempting to tie the most difficult of knots, gulping down a “rum-runner” drink or successfully playing arcade games at the Steel Pier – the participants certainly brought their A game.

Following the race was a much-deserved lunch to announce the awards from the race, MC’d by onPeak’s Vice President of Business Development, Beth McEntee-Rome along with GES VP National Sales, Scott Crawford. “It was really so amazing,” Beth said.

Each year, TSE brings together trade show professionals to recognize them for all their accomplishments throughout the year. According to TSE, Fastest 50 represents “the top growing shows of 2018 in each of the three metric categories… They run the gamut of the exhibitions industry and represent associations and private organizers of all sizes who have one thing in common – a keen eye and the skills needed to make their shows a champion.”  onPeak is honored to sponsor TSE Fastest 50 events each year to support the industry and it’s incredible professionals.

Beth explained, “TSE not only recognizes the best of the best in our industry, but they also recognize new and upcoming leadership. We are proud to sponsor an event that celebrates not only talented people but the work that they produce. TSE does so much to promote the industry as a whole and that is something we should all want to be a part of.”

Congratulations to all of the TSE Fastest 50 nominees and winners, and a special nod to those who onPeak is especially lucky to partner with – You all rock! Already counting down the days until next year’s adventure!

Global Exhibitions Day 2019

onPeak | Global Exhibitions Day 2019

With approximately 32,000 exhibitions organized globally each year 1, it is no secret that the exhibitions industry can be a whirlwind to work in. This fast-paced environment doesn’t often allow us to take a step back and reflect on how rewarding our work can be, but each year Global Exhibitions Day provides us with an opportunity to do just that.

Here at onPeak we are fortunate to work with some of the most talented and driven people and take pride in the relationships we’ve developed over the years. While technology has made it easy to hide behind a screen when communicating with clients or peers, onPeak believes face-to-face meetings are crucial when fostering meaningful relationships. The people truly are what make the exhibitions industry so successful, because it takes an army to pull off the assortment of events that are successfully executed each day.

“I love having the opportunity to cultivate long term, meaningful relationships with clients and hoteliers,” Bob Hancock, General Manager of onPeak, says.

Account Executive Ashley Petronella agrees. “My favorite thing about our industry is the people. We get to work with and meet people from all over the country with different backgrounds and fields. Working relationships often extend into personal friendships. I believe our deep connections with clients and hotel partners set us apart from other companies.”

Partnering with more than 15,000 hotels to provide event accommodations programs for hundreds of event planners each year, we attribute our success to the incredible collaboration we’ve had with hoteliers, event planners, clients and so many others.

Joe Wilush, Director of Sales – Client Relations, says, “I really enjoy watching the collaboration of different entities and stakeholders coming together to reach a common goal.” Stemming from our important relationships comes the opportunity to learn more and more about a variety of industries. Joe Wilush enjoys “learning about all of the different events and the industries that they drive forward. It may be a medical event that is pushing advanced healthcare solutions, or an association of law enforcement officials that are learning how to keep us all safe. All of these events are fascinating and bring together the most passionate individuals in their respective fields. I think it is enthralling to observe as part of my job.”

Attendees and exhibitors spend around $137 billion each year 1 contributing a significant amount to the global industry. This year Global Exhibitions Day is focused on four key messages:

  1. Exhibitions are a large global industry
  2. Exhibitions are an effective and sustainable way of doing business
  3. Exhibitions can contribute to a sustainable world
  4. The exhibition industry offers a variety of job opportunities

Whether it is serving as a networking opportunity or an educational platform, exhibitions bring together like-minded professionals and industry experts to share insights and build long-lasting relationships. onPeak is honored to be a part of that. We look forward to seeing the newest innovations in store for our industry, the economy and each individual who works so closely with events and exhibitions every day. onPeak will continue to spread awareness about the four points of focus to support Global Exhibitions Day and the importance of this industry to our economy.

onPeak at Expo! Expo! 2018

It was another successful year at IAEE Expo! Expo! which took place December 11th – 13th down in New Orleans. onPeak is lucky to be a part of such a great industry, and attending the “Show for Shows” is something that we look forward to every year.

The team stayed busy in the “Solution Suite” giving away delicious authentic New Orleans ice cream, while discussing the capabilities of onPeak’s new Compass B.I. tool. Compass B.I. enables us to create seamless solutions for our client’s hotel programs – offering us insights into room block data like never before. onPeak’s Beth McEntee-Rome, who was in attendance, gave us some insight on the sweet success from the three days at Expo! Expo!

“So many industry professionals complimented us on how we are looking at housing programs through a new lens,” she said, “and were blown away with our latest technology and analytical tools. Wonderful people and a lots of new friends!”

onPeak works hard to solve the housing equation for events every day and we’re so glad we were able to share it with so many of our closest colleagues and friends – both old and new. Thanks to all that stopped by the booth, we couldn’t have imagined a better way to wrap up 2018!
