In your role as Client Implementation Manager, what does a typical day look like?
A typical day for me is all about being the link between Business Development and Operations. We use Salesforce to accurately track leads and renewals, but I also confirm that event details are aligned across Salesforce, Compass and Oracle. I process new agreements and renewals so contractual terms and details are shared across departments. And to make we’re always highlighting the very best of onPeak, our proposals and presentations always include the most current content. It’s attention to detail and a mix of coordination, communication, and making sure everyone has what they need to keep things moving.
When you reflect on your time at onPeak, what stands out to you?
Traveling onsite for events was always a highlight. After months of planning, it was so rewarding to finally spend time with clients, hoteliers and exhibitors in person. There’s something special about the hugs, the laughs and the shared sense of accomplishment. Celebrating a job well done with coworkers definitely sticks with you and makes for some good memories😉
What do you think makes a strong first impression when working with a new client?
Preparation with a little research goes a long way to show respect for the client’s time and goals. Responsiveness is equally important; it helps new clients feel valued and puts them at ease. And above all, listening. Understanding what prompted them to make a change and what they hope to achieve shows that you’re invested and sets the foundation for a strong partnership. When a client feels heard, valued, and confident in your follow-through, the relationship gets off to a great start.
If you could instantly master a new skill, what would you choose?
I’d love to master the art of effortlessly cooking healthy, nourishing, delicious meals. With two teenagers, the kitchen never closes. It would feel amazing to satisfy perpetually hungry teenagers without leaving the kitchen looking like a disaster zone.
What kind of music is usually on your playlist?
Right now, my playlist is mostly Shaboozey, Alex Warren, Olivia Dean, Connor Price & Nic D. It’s not unusual for me to go back to what I was raised on – The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Diamond and Elton John for something comforting and familiar.
Coffee, tea, or something else entirely?
I love, love, love starting my day with coffee!! I literally hug that first cup of piping hot caffeine or do that simultaneous shake and swirl when it’s a tall, iced coffee. Every now and then I’ll switch things up with a chai or match tea and sometimes, I’ll even go for a dirty soda.
